Buyer's Information
BID IN PERSON
The traditional form of bidding is live in person during the auction. All buyers must register prior to bidding and receive a bid card which is raised to indicate a bid to the auctioneer. Once the auction starts, the lots are offered in sequential order. When your desired item is offered, be sure to make your bid obvious by raising your card and make eye contact with the auctioneer. We offer a very fast paced sell to keep the crowd involved and move through the sale as smoothly as possible. Oklahoma Auction Gallery does charge a 10% buyers premium for all in-house bidders. At Oklahoma Auction Gallery, just as at every auction house, all sales are final.
TELEPHONE BIDDING
For buyers unable to attend the auction in person, Oklahoma Auction Gallery offers phone bidding on certain items of significant value. For items of lesser value, we ask that you leave absentee bids. You can participate live on the phone with one of our employees. Telephone bid requests must be placed at least 48 hours prior to the auction.
ABSENTEE BIDDING
For those buyers who are unable to attend and participate in our live bidding process, Oklahoma Auction Gallery accepts Absentee Bids. We have a specially trained staff member who will bid on your behalf just as if you were at our auction house. They will bid up to your pre-determined maximum bid. Oklahoma Auction Gallery will not use your maximum bid as a starting bid. We will make every attempt to purchase your items at the lowest price. A buyer’s premium of 15% and applicable state sales tax will be added to all successful absentee bids. Your Visa/MasterCard will be immediately charged for all successful bids immediately following the auction completion. In the event of identical absentee bids, the earliest received will take priority. Completed and signed bid forms must be received by Oklahoma Auction Gallery no later than 7pm (EST) on the evening prior to the auction.
We offer 3 options for placing absentee bids. Absentee bids can be phoned in to our Auction house at (918) 978-9934 or (918) 978-9935; or you can fax your sheet to us at (888) 260-9544. Absentee bids can also be placed via email by sending in the form below to info@oklahomaauctiongallery.com
PAYMENT OPTIONS
We accept bank cash, personal or company check with proper ID, cashiers check, travelers check, money order, Visa & MasterCard. Large personal check purchases must accompany a bank verification letter.
• Items purchased in person must be paid for on the day of the auction. If you leave without paying, your credit card will be charged the next day.
• For items purchased via phone or absentee bidding, your credit card will be charged the day of the auction.
Sales Tax
All purchases will be subject to an 8.517% Oklahoma sales tax unless (1) you are an out-of-state resident and your purchases are being shipped out of Oklahoma or (2) if you are an Oklahoma resident and you possess a valid tax-exempt number. In order to receive tax exemption status, you must provide us with your tax exemption certificate including permit number and signature.
